Delayed Impacts

I’m grateful for: running into my former neighbor Marta at the corner store. She always brightens my day, and I hope I brightened hers.

Thank you to: the courageous, late gay guy who spoke up  in the early 80s to his friend, who I ran across yesterday, about which things she said hurt his feelings. She was a bit – dense? – and it gave her more compassion toward people different than herself.

Something loving: She’s going to vote for equal marriage rights for same-sex couples for him, even though he’s deceased. The living appreciate it.
